The Liberty Bell Center is a historical site in Philadelphia in a park near Independence Hall and Congress Hall. The Bell is housed in a small museum that has several displays with information about the history of the bell and its famous crack.

The bell is said to be the bell that rang to announce the reading of the Declaration of Independence. You can see the bell from a few feet away, but it is now roped off so you can't go right up to it or touch it.

Cost

Entrance to the center is free and you don't require tickets or reservations. Bags are checked by security so there may be a line to get in.

Estimated Visiting Time

If you just want to go see the bell, you'll probably only need a few minutes (unless there's a big line to get in). To see everything in the center allow at least half an hour.
