Large bamboo trees visible from the trail

The Waikamoi Nature Trail is located along the Hana Highway. It's a trail approximately 1 mile in length. There are lots of hills and stairs in the rain forest. The trail is clearly defined, although large roots occasionally block the path and make it difficult to walk. There are some neat trees in here, and many of them are labeled with little signs. It's a neat place to stop for a walk along the road to Hana. It's an opportunity to see some of the Hawaiian rain forest.

Parking

Parking is available on the shoulder of the road near the entrance to the trail.

The trail takes approximately 25-30 minutes to walk. It is a loop, so you will end up back at your car.
