Turtle Beach is a beach located on Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL. It is located near the southern end of the key. It is a pretty nice beach, but it has a lot of shells on it that are uncomfortable to walk on. If you're looking for softer sand, check out Siesta Beach, approximately 1km north on the key.

There is no lifeguard on duty at this beach, so enter the water at your own risk.

When we visited Turtle Beach, there were signs posted saying they were grading the beach so the turtles would be able to nest. We didn't see any turtles, but if you come back later in the year, you might be lucky to see the turtle migration!

Parking

Parking is free at Turtle Beach, and since it's not as popular as Siesta Beach, there is usually plenty of free parking available.

Sunset

Turtle Beach is located on the west side of Siesta Key, so if you're at the beach when the sun goes down, you will have a nice view of the sun setting. The picture of the sunset here uses a small color filter. In real life, the sky doesn't look quite as red.
