Inside Pane Fresco

Pane Fresco is an Italian restaurant and bakery in downtown Burlington. Their pizzas are the best in the city (and probably some of the best I've had outside of Italy). Their bread is also excellent. Their other food is also very good.

Cost

Pizzas are around $12-$15. Bread is around $5/loaf.

Very casual; no dress code

The Margherita Pizza is a staple at Pane Fresco. As much as I want to try something else each time I go there, I keep returning to the Margherita Pizza. It is fantastic.

Chocolate Bread

The chocolate bread at Pane Fresco is a dessert bread. It has chocolate baked inside of it, and a chocolate layer on top. It is best served warm, so take it home, cut it up, and warm it slightly before serving. It's not a very sweet dessert (it is much less sweet than a cake), but it's definitely too sweet to eat with your meal (rather than dessert).
