Lemon Grass is a build your own stir fry restaurant located in the central part of Amsterdam. It is similar to Eazie, but better (in my opinion). You select a noodle or rice and sauce for free, then optionally add meats or extra vegetables for a fee. The basic vegetables - cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, bean sprouts, and sweet peppers are all included. An egg is also included - cracked and mixed into the stir fry. For a sauce you can choose between Teriyaki, sweet & sour, curry, peanut sauce, and oyster soy. Available meats included chicken, beef, and shrimp.

The restaurant is a fast food restaurant. You place your order and pay at the counter. All orders are placed in a "to go" container, but you can sit at the available bars and stools if you wish. There is very limited seating available, but most people take the food to eat somewhere else.

Although it was very busy, the staff had an efficient system going and were pretty quick with the orders. The meats were all precooked, so you didn't have to wait too long, or worry about undercooked meats.

This restaurant must cater to tourists, since the menu is entirely in English.

Dress

Very casual.

Cost

A basic meal costs €5. Meats cost around €1.50 to €2. Additional vegetables are around €.50.

Items Ordered

Brown Rice, Chicken, Peanut Sauce, and Broccoli

Cost:€5 + €1.50 for Chicken + €.50 for broccoli

The stir fry was really good. The portion was fairly large, and the egg made it even more filling. The peanut sauce was really good and had a very strong peanut flavor that went really well with the chicken and vegetables.
