The Khan el-Khalili Bazaar is a large tourist bazaar in Cairo. It's not as touristy as many of the other tourist sites, so you can probably get better deals without needing to haggle as aggressively. There are many vendors selling typical tourist items (pyramids, obelisks, alabaster items, spices, clothing, perfume, etc). There are also lots of people selling many different types of jewelry.

The bazaar felt fairly safe and touristy, and you could probably buy just about anything that you wanted to buy here. To get here, you should probably take a taxi. We were staying at the Ramses Hilton, and took the Cairo Subway from near our hotel to Attaba Square, and then walked approximately 2km from there. It was a long walk through some very dirty areas, and unless you're brave (or as stupid as we were), I probably wouldn't recommend walking. Taxis are cheap in Cairo.

I also didn't feel that this was a "must see" tourist destination. If it's your first day in Egypt, then sure, it's neat to see a bazaar like this. ...but after a few days here, there are people selling things in "mini bazaars" like this at every tourist site you will visit.
