Holiday Inn - St. Augustine Historic District

This Holiday Inn is located in St. Augustine. Although it claims to be in the St. Augustine Historic District, it's actually one or two kilometers away. Since it was so far away, we took the car and parked on the street when we wanted to visit the historic district. There are many hotels that are actually located in the historic district, but they are probably more expensive.

The hotel itself is quite nice - everything you'd expect from a typical 3-star hotel. Although it's not pictured here, there was actually a small fridge and microwave in the room (right next to the entranceway). That was a nice touch.

When we first arrived, the first room we entered was labeled a non-smoking room, but somebody had definitely been smoking in there. The hotel was nice enough to move us to the room across the hall which smelled much better.

Each of the two queen beds had four pillows on it - there certainly was no shortage of pillows!

The bathroom was reasonably nice - it's what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. Everything was clean and tidy. There were only three towels (and we had four people staying in the room), so that was a minor nuisance.

Cost

Room rates vary, so be sure to check with the hotel for rates during the time when you want to stay. I think an average night is around $110.
