Caliente Cab

Caliente Cab is an American/Mexican style restaurant located in the Greenwich Village are of New York City. They're a pretty big restaurant, which is unusual for this area. They also have a nice big patio that fills up in the summer. The food itself is OK - it's pretty typical American style Mexican food. It's nothing fantastic, but it's not bad either.

A bit on the expensive side - a margharita is $14. Most entrees are around $20, although there are some cheaper items closer to $10.

Service

I was a bit disappointed in the service - our waiter forgot a few things and didn't make any effort to excuse himself (he just blamed "the other guy").

Also, when we requested a couple additional tortillas for the fajitas, he informed us there was an extra charge for that. I suppose that's fair enough, but they're just tortillas...

The beef fajitas were pretty good - the beef was a bit on the tough side, but otherwise everything was pretty tasty. The cheese and peppers on the sizzling beef and onion was a great addition.

The burrito was definitely the "best value" item to choose. It was quite large, and was pretty tasty. The taco was also pretty good. The enchilada was quite small, and is hidden under the taco in this picture.
