Bryant Park Cafe

The Bryant Park Café is located right next to the Bryant Park Grill, and they are operated by the same group. The Bryant Park Café is located on a nice outdoor patio at Bryant Park, and is a bit more casual than the grill. The location is great on a nice day. They offer a selection of nicely presented "bar food", sandwiches, and salads.

Very casual - it's an outdoor restaurant.

Cost

Most appetizers are around $10-$12, while sandwiches and entrees are around $15.

Service

We had a tight timeline of 30 minutes during our visit, and our waiter assured us we would be able to enjoy our meal with time to spare. Sure enough, he was able to get our order to us quickly, and we made it out in time.

Sweet potato fries are usually delicious, and these were no exception. We ordered two of them (to share between the four people at our table), and we were all quite pleased with them.

Mozzarella Salad

The mozzarella salad consisted of three slices of tomato, and three big slices of buffalo mozzarella cheese. The cheese itself is very mild (almost tasteless), but it adds a nice texture to the tomato. Buffalo mozzarella, tomato, and basil oil is always a great combination.

Philly Steak Sandwich

The grilled philly sandwich was a bit of a disappointment. The steak was dry, there weren't very many onions, and real cheese would have been an improvement. It came with a little salad of cucumber and onions (with a cherry tomato cut in half).
