The Apple Store (or "The Mac Store") is Apple's flagship store in New York City. It's located across from the south-east corner of Central Park. Rather than build a traditional store above ground, the Apple store just has a big glass cube at street level. Visitors entering the cube can take the stairs down, or take a glass elevator in the middle of the cube down to the large store (which is all located underground).

The store is definitely an attraction in NYC. The store has lots of Apple products on display, and they allow people to pick them up and play with them. Everything is available for purchase, of course, but the store has a more "fun" feel than a typical store. There are lots of sales people around if you have questions, but they never get in the way if you're just browsing.

Hours

The Apple Store on 5th avenue never closes. It's always open.

Cost

This is a store - admission is free. Of course, Apple hopes you buy something, too.

Estimated Visiting Time

Although the Apple Store is an attraction, it's also a store, and you can only spend so long playing with their products before getting bored. Visitors should allow 15-30 minutes inside the store to look around.
