The number of $1 pizza places in NYC has been steadily increasing over the last few years. This location has been around for awhile. The premise is simple - the restaurant offers slices of pizza for $1 each, including tax. There is a lot of foot traffic, so they go through pizzas very quickly and you're likely to get one that's fresh and hot. There is a bit of seating room in the back, but the crowd usually spills out onto the sidewalk to eat/chat during busy times.

This location occasionally has other types of slices too, in addition to cheese. Today there was pepperoni, mushroom, and chicken pizzas also available at a slightly higher cost.

Cost

Only $1/slice! What a great deal.

Service

Just go up to the counter (or get in line). They move quickly.

At only $1 per slice, it's hard not to like this pizza. It's probably not the greatest pizza out there (I tend to prefer the sauce at 99 Cent Fresh Pizza), but it's still pretty good. The sauce is a little bit sweet, but not overpowering. Oregano, red chilis, and garlic powder are available to put on top of your slices.
