Sorge's is an Italian restaurant in Corning, NY. Corning is a tourist town, and Sorge's caters mostly to tourists. It's a pretty typical american-italian restaurant. The items we ordered were fairly heavy, salty, but otherwise not very exciting.

Items Ordered

Mediterranean Salad

Fresh greens, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, cucumbers, feta cheese and a light balsamic vinaigrette.
Cost:$8.49

The mediterranean salad was decent - and quite large. There was a lot of lettuce, but a reasonable amount of other vegetables, too.

Eggplant Vegetable Lasagna

Slices of fresh eggplant with spinach and carrots layered with ricotta cheese, topped with your choice of sauce (Tomato, Marinara, or Alfredo)
Cost:$14.99

We ordered the eggplant lasagna with marinara sauce. It was quite salty, but otherwise was an OK vegetable lasagna.

Blackened Chicken Fettuccine

Homemade fettuccine with Cajun seasoned chicken and fresh peas topped with Alfredo sauce.
Cost:$15.99

The blackened chicken fettuccine sounded interesting with its seasoning, but was unfortunately a bit disappointing. The sauce was very rich and heavy, there were only a couple peas in the entire dish, and the chicken wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. The dish was 99% just plain pasta and chicken (in the sauce); the lack of peas was probably the biggest let down.
