KLM Airlines

KLM is a dutch airline based in the Netherlands. This flight was an overnight flight from Canada to Amsterdam. The airplane used in this flight was fairly modern and included individual screens on the back of each seat. They used remotes located in the arm of the seat as apposed to a touch screen, so you don't have someone pushing against the back of your chair all the time. The remote could also be used as a game controller. There was a fairly extensive selection of movies. The bathrooms on the plane were quite large. I have never seen such a large airplane bathroom. There was actually room to walk around in it.

The service on the flight was typical. I found the ride in general was very smooth, even though we hit a couple of slightly turbulent areas. We left on time, and arrived about 25 minutes early.

In-Flight Service

During the flight, complementary drinks (including beer and wine) were served several times. Dinner consisted of two options - chicken of vegetarian. I chose the vegetarian selection which was very similar to the chicken option but with potatoes instead of chicken. The meal consisted of some kind of grain salad, spiced white rice, grilled vegetables, and curry potatoes. The potatoes were quite spicy, the vegetables were yummy, and the rice was mostly plain. They also came around with hot whole wheat buns and butter. There was a banana brownie for dessert that was really good. The food was pretty good for airplane food. A breakfast consisting of yogurt was served shortly before landing.
