Delta Airlines

Overall Experience: 7 / 10
Start Date: Friday, December 7, 2007

I recently took two flights with Delta, and was pleased with their overall service. The flights were very affordable, which was why I chose them. On both flights, I was offered beverages and a snack selection (the options were crackers, peanuts, and cookies). The peanuts were very salty (so salty that I couldn't eat them). The crackers were alright..., and the cookies were mildly enjoyable. None of the selections were really very good, but if you're hungry enough, you'll eat almost anything. More substantial items, like chips, were available for purchase.

In-Flight Service

Both flights arrived on time, although the flight that left JFK sat on the runway for an hour before takeoff since it was crowded. (It was a long, 7-hour flight, and was able to make up an hour in the air).

On the 7-hour flight from JFK in New York to Seattle's SEA, each seat was equipped with a touchscreen personal video player. Videos were available for $5, but TV shows were available for free. A number of TV channels were available, including CNN, ESPN, and Discovery. Cheap headphones (of a very poor quality) were available for purchase at $2 each. A standard headphone jack was used, so if you had your own headphones, they could also be used.
