Chote Namab is an Indian restaurant located in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan in an area that is full of Indian restaurants. This is one of the better restaurants I've been to in this area. The food was all excellent, and when you asked for spicy they actually gave you spicy food. Everything was full of flavor. My only complaint is that the acoustics are pretty bad and it was very loud inside.

Entrees were mostly under $15 each.

Reservations

We were able to get a table on a Friday evening without waiting, but the restaurant filled up quickly.

Items Ordered

Baghara Bagian Mirchi, Kashmiri Dahi Murg, Aloo Gobi Ghar Ki

Baghara Bagian Mirchi - a hyderabadi eggplant curry in a peanut masala gravy
Kashmiri Dahi Murg - boneless chicken cooked with yogurt and whole masalas
Aloo Gobi Ghar Ki - a homestyle preparation of potatoes and cauliflower
Cost:$12 for the Aloo Gobi, $14 for the rest

We ordered all of the dishes spicy, and they were spicy! The peanut sauce on the egpplant was excellent. The aloo gobi was a typical but delicious preparation of aloo gobi. The chicken was creamy, had a nice flavor, and was also spicy.

Rice and bread were ordered separately for $3 each.
