Overall Experience: 5 / 10
Start Date: Saturday, March 6, 2010

Ye Olde Boston Tour is the unofficial freedom trail tour. The tour guides are recognizable by their bright green shirts. The tour seemed fairly organized and took a pretty large group.

The tour goes a little off the usual path. It starts in the Boston Commons at the Brewer Fountain and ends at the Quincy Market. The tour takes you past some of the famous landmarks in Boston. At each stop, the guides told us some stories about the building and its history. There was also a bit about places in Boston that were in movies and some of the Boston culture. The tour was somewhat interesting, but I felt like it could have had more interesting stories about Boston's history.

Cost & Time

The tours are run by volunteers who make money from tips. The suggested rate is $10, but it's up to you what you want to pay. The tour last about an hour. The walking isn't very fast paced, and it didn't feel like we walked very far. Although the tour ends in a different place then it starts, it wouldn't take very long to get back to the start.
