Yak & Yeti
Orlando, Florida, United States
Orlando, Florida, United States
The Yak & Yeti is an American/Asian restaurant inside Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, FL. There is both an indoor sit-down area of the Yak & Yeti (with seating for 250), and a walk-up counter. There are seats for approximately 350 to the side and behind the walk-up counter. The indoor full-service restaurant has a slightly larger menu selection, and is more expensive than the walk-up take-out counter. We visited the walk-up counter.
Overall, I was quite pleased with everything we ordered. It was expensive, yes, but also quite filling, and better than typical amusement park food. Depending on how hungry you are, you may be able to eat a whole entree yourself, or you may be able to split one between two people.
Dress
Dress appropriately for the day at an amusement park - shorts, t-shirt, hat, and sunblock are appropriate.
Cost
You're at an amusement park, so expect to overpay for everything. The entrees range in price from $9-$11 each.
Service
There are often very long lines around lunchtime - expect to wait approximately 15-20 minutes at the walk-up counter.
Items Ordered
Pork Egg Roll
These were typical egg rolls - nice and deep fried.
Crispy Honey Chicken
The crispy honey chicken consisted of a few pieces of deep fried chicken in a sweet sauce, sitting on a bed of white rice. Although it looks like a large container of chicken, there are really just a few pieces on top of the rice. The chicken was pretty good quality - it was all white meat, and the sauce was quite tasty
Kung Pao Beef
As with the chicken, although it looks like there is a lot of beef here, the majority of the container is filled with white rice. That being said, the beef and peppers were both quite good, in a slightly spicy sauce.
