The Woodmark Hotel is a nice hotel located right on Lake Washington in Kirkland, WA. I would give it a 4 or 4.5-star rating. They are a pet friendly hotel, and even have a hotel dog named Woody. In addition to free (but slow) wi-fi, they also offer "raid the pantry" service where they open up a small room off the lobby at 11pm each night and you can take some chips/cookies/soup/soda back to your room. Additionally, the lower level of the hotel has a nice seating area (called the 'library') with a gas fireplace.

The Room

Our room was fairly spacious, with an entrance way (with the minibar) that was somewhat separate from the bedroom. The room had a small desk, a chair, a TV and dresser, an arm chair and a king bed. The sheets were quite soft, and the bed had four pillows - each one a different type. It was great to have some pillow variety.

This is also one of the few hotels where they actually don't change your towels if you hang them back up. Most other hotels I've stayed at will change them regardless of where you put them - it's nice that they take conservation seriously.

Location

The hotel is located right on the water of Lake Washington in Kirkland. It is close to the highway that takes you right to downtown Seattle, but otherwise there is not much in the area outside the hotel complex. The hotel is part of a small village complex that has a few restaurants including a Starbucks. There is a small pathway to walk along the waterfront, and several docks with boats, but there is no swimming pool and not much to do here in general.
