Venezia Del Nord Pizzeria & Steakhouse

Venezia Del Nord is a restaurant located in downtown Amsterdam just down the street from the Anne Frank House Museum. It is a sit down restaurant serving a variety of Italian foods. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They are tourist friendly, offering English menus. There appeared to be quite a few tourists eating here.

During our meal, there were two cute cats walking around in the restaurant. One of them was napping on some of the chairs.

Pizzas are €6-€11, salads are €4-€9.

Espresso

The espresso was a pretty typical espresso. It was of the usual goodness.

Panini

Homebaked panini with garlic butter

The panini buns were small white buns. They were very buttery but not strongly flavored. They were warm and tasted fresh. The garlic butter had very little garlic.

Insalata Mista

Mixed salad with traditional Italian style dressing.

The salad consisted of a bit of lettuce surrounded by tomatoes and cucumbers, topped with shredded carrots, corn, olives, and peppers - quite the variety of vegetables. The dressing was vinegary and sweet. The salad was a good size for a side dish.

Caprese Pizza

with mozzarella cheese, fresh tomato and basil

The pizza appeared to have two types of cheese in it. The crust was dry (in a good way, as opposed to being greasy). There weren't very many toppings, but the tomatoes tasted very fresh and were quite flavorful. The pizza was a bit salty, and made us thirsty.
