Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain that overlooks the city of Cape Town. It is often described as the "must see" attraction in Cape Town. Although it did provide some nice views, I didn't think there was much to it.

All but the most experienced climbers will choose to take the cable car to the top of the mountain. There is a gift shop, a cafe, hiking trails, and look out points at the top. The mountain offers nice views of Cape Town and the coastline. There are a number of hiking trails of different lengths, including trails that go to the bottom of the mountain.

Cost

The cost of the cable car is 180 Rand return, but you can walk up or down the mountain for free.

Estimated Visiting Time

Depending on how long you want to walk, you could spend several hours here. If you are just going to see the view, 30 minutes at the top is enough. The cable car ride is about 5 minutes, but at busy times, there can be a line to get on. When we left near the end of the day, we waited about 30 minutes in line to go down.
