Sweet Storm is an off-broadway show about a newlywed couple living in Florida. The husband is a religious man - a preacher - while the wife is unable to walk due to a disability.

The show starts with husband carrying his wife up a ladder and showing her the treehouse that he built for their "honeymoon suite in the sky". It is storming outside, and she was not expecting this. The wife is very apprehensive about the treehouse, and her apprehension starts the new couple on a long discussion about their feelings and what they intend to do with their lives.

I found the wife to be a very needy and easily upset character - almost to the point of being anoying. The husband was very tolerant and forgiving of her. The acting was decent, but there really wasn't any story to Sweet Storm - it was just these two characters chatting. I didn't think it offered any life-changing revelations, or even anything I could apply to my own marriage. I thought they discussed a lot of things that they probably should have communicated before getting married, but that's about it.

Cost

Sweet Storm is reasonably priced - tickets are priced in the $20s. This is much cheaper than other shows, so if you're on a budget, or are curious about seeing a different type of show, this would be a good choice.
