The Super 8 hotel in Ithaca, NY is a basic hotel a few blocks outside of Ithaca's downtown neighborhood. The area is surrounded by large roads and not the nicest for walking around, but convenient if you have a car.

The hotel offers free internet and a continental breakfast. The breakfast included a selection of bread, pastries, cereals, and fresh make-you-own waffles.

The room had all the standard amenities, the bed was fairly comfortable, and the room was clean. It was a decent place to spend a night, but there wasn't anything fancy about it.

We visited during move-in weekend at one of the colleges in the city. When we booked the room, this was the last hotel with rooms available in the city. I think the rates were higher because it was so busy. We paid around $160 per night. Check the hotel website for current rates.
