Stomp is an Off-Broadway show in New York City. The show is all rhythm and drumming - there is no dialogue or conversation. The show consists of a number of acts where the performers use various tools to make noise and rhythm patterns. The show lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Some of the acts were neat - for example, in the first act, the performers use brooms to sweep the ground (and hit the ground) to create a pleasing rhythm. However, other acts were loud to the point of discomfort. In one of the acts, the performers were banging on metal garbage cans. It was deafening - a number of people in the audience were covering their ears.

The rhythm performances were a neat idea, but I found a whole show of these types of acts was too much. A couple minutes of someone banging on a bucket in the subway can be nice, but it gets repetitive after awhile. Stomp tried to mix it up by banging on different things, and that keeps it interesting for a bit of time, but I didn't find the show all that engaging. It got boring.
