Statue of Ramses II (Mit-Rahina)
Mit Rahina, Giza, Egypt
This review is for the Mit-Rahina museum, which contains a large statue of Ramses II. There are also a number of other smaller statues located outside the museum.
I was quite disappointed with this museum - yes, the statue of Ramses II was fairly large, but otherwise, the other statues were disappointing. I heard another tour guide saying lots of things about some of the statues, but if you're without a guide, there's nothing to tell you anything about what you're looking at.
Cost
Foreign tourists pay 30 LE per person to enter the museum. Cameras and video cameras are permitted.
Estimated Visiting Time
There aren't any informational displays here, so if you don't have a guide, 20-30 minutes is sufficient to see the statues that are stored here.
