The Shuk Ha Karmel Market is a market and pedestrian street in Tel Aviv, Israel. The market was relatively clean, although fairly dirty and crowded by American standards. There were lots of vendors selling clothes, fruits, breads, and electronic products. Although we didn't buy anything, I got the impression that you would need to bargain for everything, and that you'd probably get a much better price if you spoke Hebrew.

There was a nearby pedestrian street where there were vendors selling crafts and artistic items (paintings and little sculptures). I heard a lot of English there, so a lot of the people were probably tourists. I didn't hear as much English in the market area.

If you're looking for something to buy, the market area is probably a good place to go. If you're just visiting, the pedestrian street had some neat things that were fun to look at.
