Royal Jordanian Airlines

Overall Experience: 8 / 10
Start Date: Thursday, March 20, 2008

I was pleasantly surprised with Royal Jordanian as an airline. The planes were adequately modern (although not cutting edge), and their attention to service was also very impressive. The flight from Tel Aviv to Amman is short - only 30 minutes, or so. The seat belt sign stays on the whole time. Since there isn't time to serve any beverages during the flight, the flight attendants come around before take off to offer everyone a selection of juices. That's a nice touch!

On flights that are slightly longer, at least an hour, a small lunch is offered. That's definitely more than you'd get on an average airline for such a short flight. The lunch we received consisted of two sandwiches (one containing a piece of cheese, and the other containing a piece of meat). There was also a juice container, a container of water, and a small little dessert cake that was quite good.

I was impressed with Royal Jordanian, and wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again. (Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the Queen Alia International Airport).
