Risotteria is a small restaurant in Manhattan's West Village. The restaurant specializes in risotto, but also offers salads, and gluten free pizza and sandwiches. For a place the specializes in risotto, I expected their risotto to be the best, but I found it to be average.

Most risotto dishes were $15-$20.

Reservations

The restaurant is small with only a few tables, but they do not take reservations. We waited about 30 minutes for a table on a Friday evening.

Items Ordered

Arborio Risotto (Chicken stock based)

with shrimp with garlic, roasted peppers, spinach
Cost:$17.20

The risotto had a nice creamy flavor. Otherwise, it was too watery and lacking in toppings. It seemed like they were serving a lot of rice and water with a small amount of other ingredients. The risotto dish was very filling, but I have had much better risotto in other restaurants.

Arborio Risotto (Chicken stock based)

with shiitake, green beans, sweet corn
Cost:$14.50

The different risotto dishes were very similar, but the mushrooms enhanced the risotto with a stronger taste.
