Richoux

Richoux is a chain of a few restaurants in London. The location we visited is located directly across from Harrods. They offer typical British food, but the reason we visited was to take advantage of their reasonably priced afternoon tea.

We visited later in the afternoon, so we weren't feeling rushed at all. We arrived for afternoon tea just after 4pm.

We both ordered the Richoux Cream Tea. The biscuits were warm and soft but they cooled down quickly. The clotted cream was like butter with sugar added to make it sweet, and it's very soft, like a frosting. The jam went nice with the scones - it was like making a little cake. There was nothing special about the tea, it tasted like tea.

The serving size was quite generous, and very reasonably priced. After having four scones, I wasn't much in the mood for dinner.
