Pizza Express

There are a couple "Pizza Express" restaurants located in Prague. They looked like a quick place to get a slice of pizza, so we thought we would go in and try it. The quality of the pizza was alright, and probably the best pizza we had in Prague.

We noticed that most of the people eating at the restaurant were locals, so that's probably a good sign.

The restaurant had a couple of bar seats on the inside, but otherwise there was no seating. The restaurant also had a sales window on the outside (a "walk-up window". In addition to pizzas, it also sold gyros and falafels.

Cost

Pizza Express is more expensive than other places we discovered later (that were located under bridges and in subway stations), but the Pizza Express restaurants are all located in higher-traffic (and touristy) areas. They also look nice and modern.

Service

There isn't much service to talk about. The staff didn't speak English, but that wasn't a problem. To order a slice of pizza, just walk up to the counter and point at what you'd like. All the pizzas are displayed there. Pay at the cash register when you receive your pizza.

The menu (above the counter) was in English, and the pizzas were also labeled in English, so you could tell what you were ordering, and how much it would cost you.

Dress

Very casual - whatever you are wearing is fine.

This slice of pizza was pretty good. Everything tasted like it should on a piece of pepperoni pizza. The salami tasted like pepperoni, and the cheese tasted like pizza cheese.

Spinach Pizza with a Top

Spinach Calzone

The spinach "calzone" was neat - it's like a pizza, with a pie crust on top. It makes it easier to hold on to. I was surprised it was the same price as the salami pizza, since you definitely get more food for the same amount of money.

Inside the pizza, the spinach was mixed with cheese, and was quite tasty.
