Parkhotel Laurin is a 4 star hotel situated in the center of Bolzano. It is just down the street from the train station, and around the corner from the Bolzano main square and shopping district. One of the nice features of the hotel is their private backyard garden that includes a swimming pool. The garden has several water features and an assortment of flowers. It is a beautiful place to sit and relax. The staff at the hotel spoke Italian, German, and English. The staff was very nice and helpful by providing us with maps and information about the area.

The Room

The building appears quite old, but has been renovated. The rooms have a bit of an older look. The carpets don't look very fresh, and there were a few scuff marks on the walls, but the bathroom looked great and everything was very clean. The rooms were huge for a hotel in Europe. The picture only shows half the room. The other half of the bedroom contained a desk, a couch, a coffee table, and a cabinet containing a flat-screen TV, fridge, and safe. The room we stayed in also featured large windows that overlooked the private garden. It was a beautiful view to wake up to. The bathroom was all covered in a green marble tile. The toiletries were high-end and included L'Occitane products. The bathtub was large, but a little awkward to shower in.

The Breakfast

The hotel breakfast was included with our daily rate. The breakfast at this hotel was one of the best we had in Italy. There was a variety of breads, cheeses, deli meats, pastries, and fruits. There was also some vegetables, cereal, yogurt, and a few hot items included hard-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, and Italian-style bacon. When we arrived at breakfast, we were offered hot drinks in addition to the selection of fruit juices available at the buffet. Their cappuccinos were excellent. The breakfast dining area also included several tables on the outside front porch.

Cost

The hotel offered high-speed internet in the room. We were charged 12€ for 3 days of internet, which seemed like a pretty good deal. Check the hotel website for room rates.
