Paladar is a Spanish/Mexican restaurant in the Lower East Side. There seemed to be several of these restaurants in the area, none of them very busy. We picked this one somewhat randomly. The food was ok, but far from the best Mexican I've had in NYC.

Small dishes were around $10

Reservations

The restaurant was pretty empty when we were here.

Items Ordered

Caesar Salad

romaine, anchovy dressing, avocado & croutons
Cost:$9

The salad was pretty poor. The lettuce was starting to be in poor shape. The dressing was also not very good and not very flavorful.

Hanger Steak Tacos

roasted tomatillo salsa
Cost:$9

These little tacos were pretty good. They were topped with marinated onions which were delicious. The steak was a bit tough.

Sauteed Chicken Quesadilla

Sauteéd chicken & poblano rajas with pico de gallo
Cost:$9

The quesadilla was a pretty typical Chicken quesadilla. It was not very spicy and neither was the salsa.
