My Thai is a Thai restaurant located in downtown Burlington on Lakeshore. The restaurant offers typical Thai food of pretty good quality at pretty good prices. There is also an outdoor patio, but it is right on a busy street corner and is fairly noisy, so we chose to sit inside.

Cost

Most entrees are around $10.

Dress

The restaurant is fairly casual. Shorts and t-shirt are fine.

Items Ordered

Mango Salad

Fresh julienned green mango with peanuts, red onions, mint, coriander, palm sugar, and lime juice
Cost:$6.99

This is quite a large mango salad, easily shared by two people. It is a really good quality mango salad in that it is mostly mango - the way a mango salad should be. My only complaint is that there was a little bit too much juice and it became soupy on the bottom. However, if you scoop the salad out of the bowl, it's just perfect.

Ginger Chicken

Aromatic ginger, diced boneless chicken, mushrooms, baby corn, carrots, and onions are combined in this classic
Cost:$9.99

The ginger chicken did have a very strong ginger aroma. However, the chicken itself tasted mostly plain. I did enjoy the vegetables, and they had a bit of flavour to them. There were several fairly large pieces of ginger that were very spicy. Mostly, I just picked them out and then the dish wasn't spicy at all. This dish did not come with rice or noodles, they were ordered separately.

Cashew Chicken

Juicy chicken breast with cashew nuts, sweet peppers, onions, fresh orange and our Thai sauce
Cost:$11.99

The cashew chicken was really good. The Thai sauce had a nice flavor. It was very mild - not spicy. The chicken was nice and moist, and went well with the cashews and peppers.

Jasmine Rice

Cost:approximately $3

We got one large bowl of rice to share between 3 people, and it was enough. The rice was basically plain white rice.

Parking

The restaurant does not have specific parking. There are several parking lots, and street parking in downtown Burlington around the restaurant.
