My Moon is a Mediterranean restaurant located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's on a pretty deserted street, but it's located between two larger streets where there's often activity.

My Moon is nicely decorated with upscale/modern decor. It is a converted warehouse, giving it a unique atmosphere. It also has a very nice looking patio in front of the restaurant. We thought My Moon was a pretty decent restaurant. The food we had was on the 'good' side of average.

Dress

Nice casual.

Cost

Fairly reasonably priced - most appetizers were around $10, and most entrees around $20.

Reservations

We had reservations, but the restaurant had a lot of empty room between 6-8pm.

Items Ordered

Lentil Soup

Cost:$8

The lentil soup appetizer was an average sized bowl of soup, but it was very creamy (and also very salty), so it was quite filling. The soup wasn't listed on the menu, and our waiter didn't tell us about it when he was listing off the specials. We only ordered it because we saw another table having soup, and it looked tasty.

Moon Pachanga

Cost:$7

The word 'Pachanga' doesn't seem to exist, but My Moon seems to think it's a small fried pastry that is filled with cheese and spinach. It was also very salty, but delicious. The cheese was warm and soft inside the pastry.

Chicken Kebab

Grilled cubes of chicken breast marinated in yogurt sauce, served with Turkish style rice and salad
Cost:$17

The chicken kebab was tasty. The chicken and vegetables were nicely grilled. The chicken was quite moist. It did have a nice flavor, although not the flavor I would typically associate with a yogurt marinade. The dipping sauce was a nice yogurt sauce with a bit of a spice to it. The salad was mostly greens with a few pieces of tomato and a lemon and oil dressing. The Turkish rice had a nice flavor on it's own, but also went well with the chicken.

Grilled Salmon

Pureed potatoes and grilled asparagus
Cost:$18

The salmon was a pretty average piece of salmon. It didn't have much of a distinguishing flavor. The pieces of asparagus were a bit burned on the top, but otherwise tasty. The mashed potatoes were very buttery and creamy.
