Mondello is an Italian restaurant located in Streetsville, Ontario. We happened to be a fairly large group (10-12 people) in the area, and Mondello had lots of room, so we decided to try it out. The food was fairly plain, but typical American/Italian style.
The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, which worked out well for our large group.

I think the restaurant was glad to have us join them. The waiter was quite friendly and they gave us all coupons for free appetizers on our next visit.

Mondello Platter
Two meatballs, two lamb spiducci, fried calamari, two bruschetta and mesquite fries
The mondello platter offered a selection of appetizers to share. The restaurant didn't have any meatballs available, so they substituted shrimp instead. Most of the items were fairly plain tasting - there was nothing memorable about this dish.
Spaghetti Bosco
Sauteed portobello mushrooms, fresh green asparagus, cherry tomatoes and basil, in a garlic olive oil sauce, finished with white truffle oil and asiago
The spaghetti bosco was mostly just plain white spaghetti with lightly sauteed vegetables on top. The vegetables were fairly oily, which was probably good because otherwise there wasn't much flavor to this dish.
Spicy Veal Parmigiana
Breaded veal topped with spicy tomato sauce and mozzarella
The spicy veal parmigiana was quite average, although the sauce did have a light spice to it that added a bit of flavor. The potatoes were also lightly seasoned.
