Mill Street Brewery is located in the distillery district in Toronto. The area has a historical feel with brick roads and lots of small shops. The brewery has a large selection of beers, but we only had food during this visit. The food quality was marginally higher than typical bar food.
Cost
The food wasn't cheap. Breakfast meals are about $10.
Dress
Casual - shorts and a t-shirt in the summer are fine.
Parking
There are several parking lots around the distillery district as well as some street parking. Prices may vary depending on the day.
Service
The service was a bit slow, but not bad considering how busy it was when we got there.
Reservations
You may want to call for reservations. When we arrived for Sunday brunch it was quite busy and although there were seats available at the bar, there was a bit of a wait for a booth.
Items Ordered
Lemon Cranberry Muffins
These muffins were brought to our table while we waited for our food. They were really good and way better than just getting free bread.
Orange Juice
This was a fairly large glass of Tropicana Orange Juice.
Vegetarian Omelette
Three Omega 3 eggs with fresh asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes and melted Brie cheese, served with home fried potatoes and toast. This omelette was ordered with sweet potato fries instead of home fries for an extra $1.99 (we were not alerted to this extra charge when we placed the order). The sweet potato fries were amazing! They were really good with the sauce they came with.
The omelette was quite large. I was a little disappointed in the egg to vegetable ratio. I would have preferred less egg and more vegetable. The Brie cheese made this omelette really good, and went really well with the sun dried tomato flavor. If you don't like sun dried tomatoes, you probably want to avoid this omelette.
Mill Street Omelette
Three Omega 3 eggs with fresh chives, aged cheddar cheese, bacon and roasted apples, served with home fried potatoes and toast. This omelette was also ordered with sweet potato fries for an extra $1.99. As above, there was far more egg than veggies. The flavor of the chives was masked - the roasted apples were the predominant flavor in this omelette. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about having apples in an omelette, but they actually went fairly well. The bacon and cheese were delicious.
