Mi Pueblo is a restaurant serving more authentic Mexican food than typical American Mexican restaurants. The food is quite good, the portions are just right, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is fairly small and has Mexican decor and atmosphere.
There was a sign posted that said they have live music occasionally - if you're interested, give them a call to find out more details.
Cost
Most entrees are less than $10.
Dress
Very Casual
Parking
The restaurant is located in a plaza with lots of parking spaces.
Service
The service was quite fast. The wait for the food was shorter than most restaurants.
Items Ordered
Nachos and Salsa
These nachos and medium spiced salsa were brought to the table when we sat down. That was a nice touch.
Combination Plate - Choice of Any Two Items
Served with Mexican Rice and Refried Beans Enchilada Roja - Your choice of cheese or ground beef rolled in a corn tortilla topped with cheese and red sauce. Taquito - Shredded breast of chicken tightly rolled in a corn tortilla, and deep fried served with sour cream. The combination plates allow you to choose two items for $8.95, or three items for $9.95. There are quite a few items from which you can make your selection, and all combos are served with refried beans and rice.
The enchilada was ordered with ground beef. The beans and rice were very good and went well together. All the selected items were very good. The fried taquito was very crispy - it was similar to an egg roll.
Nothing was very spicy. If you want extra spice you could add that to your dish.
Combination Plate - Choice of Any Two Items
Served with Mexican Rice and Refried Beans Taco - Fried corn tortilla filled with ground beef or shredded chicken, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese (soft taco upon request). Taquito - Shredded breast of chicken tightly rolled in a corn tortilla, and deep fried served with sour cream. The taco was ordered with ground beef and a soft taco. Again, everything here was very good. I tried to eat the taco by hand, but that was a mistake - it made a big mess. With the soft taco I could have, and should have used a knife and fork.
