In the oppressive heat of the Israeli desert, what could be better than ice cream? There's a McDonalds located in Ein Yahav, in a rest stop just off highway 90. There's also a convenience store and bathrooms (which are free) at this rest stop. We stopped here on an Egged bus from Tel Aviv to Eilat.

Considering that the rest stop is fairly isolated, it's actually quite modern, and the McDonalds looked big and clean. It offered all your favorite McDonalds items. The menu was only written in Hebrew, but the pictures are a big help.

Dress

It's a McDonalds - very casual.

Parking

The rest stop has a very large parking area, since commercial buses and tour buses use it on long bus trips.

Sundae with Chocolate Fudge

One thing I thought was humorous - all over Israel, nobody had soft ice cream! Whenever we asked for it, the locals always called it "American Ice Cream". The only place we were able to find soft ice cream was at McDonalds.

This ice cream sundae was everything you'd expect from a McDonalds ice cream sundae. It was excellent.
