Masala Times is a small Indian "fast food"-type restaurant in greenwich village, NYC. There are a few indoor tables and a counter where you can place your order. We tried two of their combo boxes - the food was OK, but nothing special. It was served in really cheap feeling plastic containers with plastic cutlery.

Items Ordered

Chicken Box with Chicken Saag

Choose one of: Chicken Tikka Masala / Chicken Bhuna / Chicken Saag / Chicken Vindaloo. Served with Daal, Veg Pulav Rice and Bread
Cost:$9.95

Chicken Saag was mostly spinach mixed with some chicken. It was lightly spiced, but fairly tasty. It was served with rice, a lentil soup, and a fried tortilla. There was a good quantity of food for dinner and it was all pretty tasty. The rice was plain, the soup was a bit salty, and the fried tortilla was good but probably not very healthy.

Veg Box with Chana Masala

Choose one of: Paneer Tikka Masala / Saag Paneer / Chana Saag / Chana Masala. Served with Daal, Veg Pulav Rice and Bread
Cost:$8.95

The veggie combo box was similar to the chicken box above. The chana masala was slightly spicier than the chicken, but it was not unpleasantly hot. It was a pretty average chana masala, but for $9 it was a good quantity of food.
