Maria's Mont Blanc

We had a nice dinner at Maria's Mont Blanc, despite being moved to three different tables. We were initially seated on the covered back yard, then moved to another table (so they could squeeze more people in), and then moved indoors when we ordered the raclette. Besides that, the food we ordered was pretty decent.

Dress

Maria's Mont Blanc is a fairly casual restaurant, although people here are slightly dressed up, likely just because the restaurant is in midtown.

Entrees range from $20 - $35

Service

I was slightly bothered that we were moved to three different tables over the course of our evening. The staff was apologetic at each move, although we didn't receive anything for the hassle.

Reservations

It was probably a good thing we made reservations - the restaurant was pretty full when we arrived around 6pm on a Saturday evening

Raclette for Two

The raclette dish says it serves two people, although it could easily serve three, or maybe even four. Your table is set up with a little hot plate / oven device with four little trays that you can put cheese in to heat it up. The dish comes with a huge amount of cheese, boiled potatoes, some meats, and a couple tomato/onion slices. After heating the cheese, you can mix it with the meat or potatoes. It's quite a bit of fun to do.

The cheese, while delicious, is quite heavy. We found we were able to get through about half the cheese before we were both stuffed.
