Maggiano's Little Italy is a chain of Italian restaurants located in several states. This location is located at the back of St. Johns Town Center - an outdoor shopping mall in Jacksonville, FL. The shopping mall was also quite nice, as you can see from the garden area here in front of Maggiano's.

The restaurant serves large quantities of good quality Italian food at affordable prices. A half salad and half entree is enough to feed two people. The items ordered here were shared among four people. If you come here with a large group they have family style dining, in which you select several menu items that they bring bottomless plates of to your table.

Cost

Prices are low for the quantity of food that you get. Entrees are $15-$20 and feed at least two people.

Dress

People come here wearing anything from casual to semi-formal. Either is acceptable.

Service

The restaurant seemed quite busy, but there was no wait for a table when we arrived around 6:30p. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, service was prompt, and there was just the usual delay.

Parking

The restaurant is located in the shopping center. There are many parking spots available all around the restaurant.

The bread was a white Italian bread with a hard crust. It was served with dipping oil. Our new favorite trick is to mix the provided parmesan cheese in with the oil, and dip the bread in that - what a combination!

This was a pretty good salad. It was mostly lettuce, with small pieces of the other listed items mixed in. Everything was cut in small pieces except for the avocado slices on top.

The ravioli were very good. The noodles were quite large and filled with cheese. The sauce they were in was very creamy and delicious.

The cannelloni was also very good. The sauce they were served in was very flavorful and went really well with the noodles and beef.

Tiramisu

Tiramisu

This is one of the best Tiramisu cakes I've had. It is very light, fluffy, and delicious. The piece they bring is fairly large and easily shared among two to four people.
