Maggiano's Little Italy is a chain if Italian restaurants. Last time at Maggianos, we had the family style dinner, but this time, we decided just to order individual dishes. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, and the affordable price! The total cost of the meal came to less than $15 per person, and the food quality was excellent.

This location is located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip in the Fashion Show Mall. While the weather outside was beautiful, there was an incredibly irritating Apple commercial that was playing on the TVs and speakers outside of the mall. The music was nice and catchy the first 50 times we heard it, but the commercial just went on and on... it was annoying, but the quality and low cost of Maggiano's still made this a very pleasant dining experience.

Cost

The portions are huge. Individual dishes are around $20, but they can easily be shared between two people.

Dress

Jeans and a button shirt would be appropriate. Shorts and a t-shirt may be ok, but you'd probably feel more comfortable in something slightly nicer.

Reservations

We didn't have reservations, and we arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday. There was about a 30 minute wait for the outside, but we didn't have to wait at all for outdoor patio seating.

Items Ordered

Bread

Cost:Free

Our table was provided with this bread, and a dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was a plain white bread with a thick crust.

Caesar Salad

Shaved Parmesan & Focaccia Croutons
Cost:$10.95

This was quite the large caesar salad, and was shared between four people. The croutons were very good - some of the best I've had. It was definitely one of the better caesar salads I've ever had. The dressing was typical, but the cheese and croutons were really quite good.

Fettuccine Alfredo with Extra Broccoli

Cost:$15.50

The Fettuccine Alfredo was ordered with extra broccoli, and with whole wheat pasta substituted for the Fettuccine. (Whole wheat pasta has more flavor!). It was certainly served with a good amount of broccoli! The dish was somewhat soupy - this is possibly because the sauce didn't like to stick to the penne, but I couldn't see the sauce sticking to anything; it was quite liquidy.

It was very good though - it had a nice strong cheese and cream flavor, and the portion was huge. This was shared between two people, but could have been shared among three without any problems (we weren't able to finish it).

The broccoli was a bit on the crunchy side - it probably could have used a little more cooking, but with the cheese and cream sauce, it was very good.

Chicken Pesto Linguine

Cost:$16.50

The Chicken Pesto Linguine was also ordered with Whole Wheat Penne instead of linguine. The pesto was quite good, and the dish was served with an ample amount of chicken.

Again, this was shared between two people, but was too big to be finished.
