Local 121 is a bar and restaurant in Providence, RI that specializes in using locally and sustainably grown ingredients. The restaurant is nicely decorated on the interior, and it looks like there was also a bar in a side room. We visited them for Brunch (which is available on Sundays).
Dress
It's a nice looking restaurant, but we were dressed fairly casually and it didn't seem to be a problem.
Cost
Most brunch items are around $10-$15
Reservations
We arrived shortly after 10am and were among the first people in the restaurant. There was no need for reservations.
Items Ordered
Strawberry-Blueberry and Creme Fraiche Stuffed French Toast
pecan butter, vermont maple syrupThe french toast was made with big thick slices of bread with some fruit in the interior. It was a fairly average french toast, and the fruit was just OK. The maple syrup tasted like real maple syrup, which was nice. I was surprised they had strawberries and blueberries which aren't really in season anymore at this time of year.
Farm Egg Sandwich
smoke house kielbasa, shelburne farms cheddar, arugula, english muffin, home friesThe farm egg sandwich was an english muffin filled with a fried egg, lettuce, and a slice of kielbasa cut in half. I've never had kielbasa on a breakfast sandwich, and while it was novel, it's not something I'll be adding to my daily routine. The potatoes were OK, but felt like they could have been seasoned a bit more and cooked for a longer period of time as some of them were still a bit hard.
