Seating:Indoor table

Lincoln is a fine dining restaurant at the Lincoln Center. It has a very open concept - the restaurant is all windows including windows into the kitchen. The restaurant is layed out nicely so that it doesn't seem as large as it is. One sides looks out onto the reflecting pool at the Lincoln Center Plaza. The food was Italian inspired with a bit of creativity.

Dress

Business casual. Most people were fairly well dressed for lunch.

Cost

$36 for any two courses.

Reservations

Recommended for dinner, but it wasn't very busy for lunch during the week.

Items Ordered

Bread and Amuse Bouche

It's worth noting that the bread was really good and there was quite a variety of options. It was served with olive oil and a bean paste. The amuse bouche was a crispy bread with a burst of flavor ontop.

Maplebrook Farm's Burratina

Salad of greenmarket pole beans, cherry tomatoes, purslane
Cost:First Course as part of $36-

The burratina was a very fresh soft mild tasting cheese. The salad was mostly beans - a variety I've never had before. I was hoping the salad would have more tomatoes in it since they were delicious and in season, but there were only a couple of tomatoes.

Lasagna Vincisgrassi

veal and mushroom ragu, basciamella, parmigiano-reggiano
Cost:First Course as part of $36-

The lasagna was served as a round lasagna - very unique. Otherwise it was just a typical, but really good, lasagne.

Bistecca

Grilled flank steak, Jersey tomatoes, red onion, arugula, green tomato mostrada
Cost:Second Course as part of $36-

The steak was really flavorful and not too tough. The tomatoes on the side were excellent and full of flavor.

Pollo Fritto Con Insalata Mista

Tuscan fried chicken, market chicories
Cost:Second Course as part of $36-

The fried chicken was very moist. The breading had a bit of spices in it and wasn't as heavy as most fried chickens. The market chicories were a bitter red and white lettuce. I found this dish was lacking something, but I wasn't sure what, maybe a sauce.
