Le Panier describes itself as a "Very French Bakery", and is located in Pike Place Market in Seattle. They have a wide selection of pastries, breads, and even some lunch sandwiches. It is a cafe-style restaurant - line up, place your order with someone behind the counter, and pay for it. I was quite impressed with the quality of everything I ordered.
Cost
Pastries range from $2-$4.
Dress
Very casual - it's just a cafe. Whatever you have on from walking around on the street is fine.
Reservations
It's not that kind of place - seating is very limited, so you may have to stand for awhile.
Items Ordered
Epinard Feuilletes
This spinach pastry was really fantastic. The pastry was light, fluffy, and buttery. The filling was a mix of cheese and spinach, and really could not have been better.
Broccoli Feuilletes
This pastry was even better than the spinach one! (I do love broccoli). the pastry was the same as with the spinach pastry, but here the filling was broccoli instead of spinach. I thought that there could have been a bit more broccoli, but the overall flavor was fantastic.
Croissant
This croissant was just what you'd expect - flaky and buttery.
Palmier
I didn't know what a Palmier was before ordering this - it's a little bit like a pastry cookie. It is a little bit sweet, and while still flaky, it's also more crunchy, like a cookie. It wasn't the best pastry dessert I've had, but I did enjoy it.
