La Place is a chain of cafe/restaurants, mostly located in the Netherlands. This store is located inside the Leiden Central Train Station. They offer pastries for breakfast, and other sandwich and dessert items later in the day. The restaurant features a large, nicely decorated indoor seating area (with views out the front of the train station).
Cost
Most of the pastries are around €2. A cappuccino is €2.25.
Dress
The restaurant is very casual - whatever you happen to be wearing is fine.

Croissant
The croissant was a bit on the small side (especially for €2), but it was nice and crispy on the outside, with a nice buttery flavor.
Cappuccino
The cappuccino was fairly disappointing. It was produced by a machine, and didn't have the same delicious taste as a cappuccino that's been properly prepared.
Strawberry Lemonade
The strawberry lemonade was a typical strawberry lemonade. It was nice and refreshing.
