La Esquina is a Mexican restaurant located in the SoHo neighborhood of NYC. The restaurant has a small take out front with a bar and a few stools that look out on the street. We ordered from their take out menu and ate at the bar on this visit. There is also a sit down restaurant hidden away in the basement behind a door marked "Employees only".

Bistec and Aguacate Con Queso Tacos
Bistec - steak, onions, cilantro, salsa verde
Aguacate Con Queso - avocado, queso fresco, black bean, pico de gallo, salsa verde
The avocado tacos were mostly cold with only a bit of warmth from the beans. It had a very fresh taste and the avocado mixed with the salsa was very similar to a guacamole.
The steak taco had a really nice peppery sauce, but it wasn't spicy. The steak taco was hot compared with the cold avocado taco.
