Kilwin's Chocolates and Ice Cream

Kilwin's Chocolates and Ice Cream is located inside the Prime Outlets location in Ellenton, FL. There are a lot of stores here, and while shopping, we thought it would be a nice idea to get an ice cream. The smell of the fresh waffle cones was enticing.

Kilwin's makes their own waffle cones, so we thought it would nice to try one out. We also ordered the "Ellenton Mud" ice cream, thinking it would be something neat and interesting, but it tasted just like ice cream with ground oreo cookies in it.

My frustration with Kilwin's comes from their home made cone. You would think that if they were making their own waffle cones, they would get good at it. Unfortunately, the bottom of our cone didn't come to a point - there was a hole in it! After sitting on a bench eating the ice cream cone, I had noticed that it had leaked onto my shorts and stained them. Come on - a waffle cone only has one purpose - to hold ice cream. I was disappointed that Kilwin's waffle cones couldn't even do that properly. Overall, it seemed a bit overpriced for a typical ice cream in a waffle cone.
