We came to Il Fornaio because they were able to seat a large group without a wait for dinner. I came to realize there was a reason they were able to seat a large group without a wait. The food here was mediocre at best. The best thing we had here was the free bread with olive oil and vinegar.

Items Ordered

Vegetariana Pizza

Thin crust pizza with housemade dough and real mozzarella. Zucchini, asparagus, eggplant, roasted tomato, mozzarella, pesto sauce
Cost:$11.99

The pizza was not bad. I don't know about the real mozzarella, it tasted like typical American mozzarella, maybe there was a mix. There was a nice variety of vegetables on the pizza, but I thought the crust could have been thinner.

Cannelloni al Pollo

Fresh large pasta tubes filled with free-range rotisserie chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, ricotta, pecorino, smoked maozzarella, and organic spinach; bechamel, marinara, and mushrooms
Cost:$13.99

The chicken cannelloni tasted pretty bad. I'm not sure what it was, the filling or the sauce, but I did not like the flavor at all.
