Il Corallo is an Italian restaurant in SoHo offering a large selection of pasta dishes. I thought the pasta dishes were very traditional Italian - simple combinations of quality ingredients. The pastas were fresh and the portions were not too large.

Dress

Fairly casual

Cost

Most entrees were around $10, which is quite reasonable for a restaurant in SoHo.

Service

The service was pretty fast.

Reservations

We did not have reservations. The restaurant was pretty busy, but we did not have to wait for a table early on a Tuesday evening.

Items Ordered

Pappardelle al Pollo

Large fresh ribbon noodles with dices breast of chicken and broccoli in a cream of tomato sauce.
Cost:$12.95

The pappardelle pasta was very fresh and fluffy. The sauce was nice and creamy and had a bit of the chicken flavor in it. There was not too much broccoli, but a nice mix with the chicken and pasta.

Ravioli Asparagus Zucchini Mushrooms

Fresh green ravioli filled with vegetables and served in a cream of tomato sauce.
Cost:$10

The sauce in this dish was the same as the Pappardelle al Pollo, but without the chicken flavor. The ravioli was filled with a white cheese and mix of asparagus, zucchini and mushrooms. It was a nice variety I have not tried before. There were only five or six ravioli on the plate, so this dish was fairly small (smaller than the above pappardelle).
