Hotel Roosevelt Best Western

Hotel Roosevelt is a 3-star Best Western Hotel in Nice, France. It is a standard 3-star in a pretty good location. Nice is a very popular resort vacation destination, so many of the hotels in Nice are quite expensive and extravagant. This hotel was just a standard hotel without a beach feel, although it was just a few short blocks from the beach. It was also a few blocks away from the commercial shopping district and Old Nice.

The staff were friendly and spoke English. The rooms were clean, although the hotel seemed a bit old. There was a single elevator that was very slow.

The Room

The room was pretty standard with a small TV, the usual furniture, and a safe in the closet. The only unusual furniture was the bed. That bed may look like a king bed, but it was actually two twin beds side by side - each with their own set of sheets. It was quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom was adequate but small - especially the shower which might be a bit tight for larger people.

A nice feature to our room was that it had a balcony. That was fun, but the view was just of the building across the street. I don't think any of the rooms would have had much of a view.

The hotel had a breakfast available for 12€. I don't think it's worthwhile considering the great bakeries located just around the corner. The rooms cost about 100€ per night for 2 people when we visited.
